BioMuseo and the Bridge That Changed Biology

The BioMuseo on the Amador Causeway, designed by Frank Gehry, tells how the Isthmus of Panama -- connecting North and South America three million years ago -- changed global biodiversity and climate. The Great Interchange exhibit explains how animals crossed the land bridge: armadillos went north, big cats went south.
